Registration via Our Online Shop
Personal Data
Personal data refers to information about factual or personal circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, phone number, address, and all data provided during registration and the creation of your customer account. Statistical data that we collect, such as the popularity of specific pages on our ICX online shop or the number of users visiting certain sections of the Algess Group website, is not considered personal data, as it cannot be directly linked to your identity.
Customer Account
For each customer who registers, we create a password-protected direct access to their stored data (customer account). Here, you can view data about your completed, pending, and recently shipped orders, manage your personal details, and configure your newsletter preferences.
You are required to keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with unauthorized third parties. We accept no liability for misuse of passwords unless we are responsible for the misuse.
Unless you log out, you remain automatically logged in. This function allows you to use certain services (e.g., your ‘customer account’) without having to log in again each time. However, for security reasons, you will be asked to re-enter your password when, for example, updating personal data or placing an order. For security purposes, you will be asked to re-enter your password if, for example, you wish to change your personal information or place an order.
Collection, Processing, and Use of Your Personal Data
We place great importance on data protection. We strictly adhere to the legal provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG) when collecting, processing, and using your personal data. We collect, store, and process your data for the entire transaction of your purchase, including any potential later guarantees, for our customer services, technical administration, and our own marketing purposes.
Your personal data will only be shared with third parties or otherwise transmitted if this is necessary for contract processing or billing, or if you have given your prior consent. For example, the service providers we use for order and delivery processing (e.g., carriers, logistics companies, banks) will receive the necessary data for processing orders. The data shared with service providers may only be used by them to perform their duties. Any other use of the information is not permitted and does not occur at any of our service providers.
For your order, we require your correct name, address, and payment details. Your email address is needed to confirm receipt of your order and to communicate with you. Additionally, you will receive your order and shipping confirmation via email.
Your personal data will be deleted if no legal storage requirements oppose this, and if you have claimed a deletion right, if the data is no longer necessary for fulfilling the purpose of the storage, or if their storage is not permissible for other legal reasons.
Use of Your Data for Advertising Purposes
Your personal data (company address, including the names of contact persons, if applicable) is processed for sending advertising materials by mail and providing information about our products and services. Publicly available sociodemographic data may also be supplemented to tailor our offerings and communication to you individually.
The legal basis for processing this data is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest). The controller has a legitimate interest in direct advertising. Additionally, there is a legitimate interest in making advertising as individualized as possible. The provision of your personal data is necessary to send advertising materials. The sharing of this data by the controller and its processing by the service provider occurs based on a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR.
Newsletter
We use a double opt-in process to send newsletters. This means we will only send you a newsletter via email if you have explicitly confirmed beforehand that we should activate the newsletter service. You will then receive a notification email asking you to confirm that you wish to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link in the email.
If, later, you no longer wish to receive newsletters from us, you can object at any time without incurring any costs other than the basic transmission costs. A notification in text form to the contact details listed in section 1 (e.g., email, fax, letter) is sufficient. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
We use the newsletter software “rapidmail” (https://www.rapidmail.de/). Your data will be transmitted to rapidmail GmbH, Wentzingerstraße 21, 79106 Freiburg. Rapidmail is prohibited from selling your data or using it for purposes other than sending newsletters. Clever Elements is a certified German provider chosen based on GDPR and BDSG requirements.
Product Recommendations by Email
As a customer of Algess Group AG, you will occasionally receive product recommendations from us via email. These product recommendations are sent regardless of whether you have subscribed to a newsletter. We want to provide you with information about products from our offerings that might interest you based on your recent purchases. We strictly adhere to legal requirements when doing so.
If you no longer wish to receive product recommendations or any other promotional messages, you can object at any time without incurring any costs other than the basic transmission costs. A notification in text form to the contact details listed in section 1 (e.g., email, fax, letter) is sufficient. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every email.
Online Surveys
Participation in online surveys is entirely voluntary (Article 4(11) of the GDPR). All responses will be treated confidentially.
Data Processors:
The enuvo GmbH (Seefeldstrasse 25, 8008 Zürich, Switzerland) provides the Algess Group AG with the ability to conduct these online surveys. Furthermore, enuvo GmbH processes personal data for Algess Group AG as per Article 4(2) and Article 28 of the GDPR under a corresponding data processing agreement. The processing of this personal data is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. It is used for verification purposes to ensure you are a customer of Algess Group AG, which constitutes a legitimate interest under the aforementioned provision.
The online survey aims to meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 concerning post-market surveillance of medical devices. Through the survey, we aim to understand how you prefer to use our products, identify complications, and assess your satisfaction with these products.
Enuvo GmbH ensures that the survey is accessible online and that responses from survey participants are securely stored. Additionally, enuvo GmbH provides Algess Group AG with tools to review and analyze the survey results.

To protect your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g., SSL) over HTTPS.

If you contact us via email or the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for any follow-up questions.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help analyze how users interact with the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, with IP anonymization activated on this website (anonymizeIp), your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Google will use this information on behalf of the website operator to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
You can prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: Browser Add-on for deactivating Google Analytics.
Alternatively, you can block tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link. An opt-out cookie will be set on your device, preventing the collection of your data by Google Analytics for this website and this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Use of Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to determine whether data entered on our website (e.g., in a contact form) is provided by a human or through automated means. reCAPTCHA analyzes website visitors’ behavior based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various data (e.g., IP address, duration of the visit, or mouse movements). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that an analysis is being conducted.
Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting their web offers against abusive automated spying and SPAM. If a corresponding consent was requested, processing is carried out exclusively based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, as far as consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) under the TTDSG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Further information about Google reCAPTCHA can be found in the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.
Use of Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, data on the use of map functions by visitors is also collected, processed, and used by Google.
For more information about data processing by Google, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy. You can also adjust your personal privacy settings in the privacy center.
Detailed instructions for managing your data in connection with Google products can be found here.
YouTube with Enhanced Privacy
This website integrates videos from YouTube. The operator of these pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, data sharing with YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode.
When you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. This informs the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, YouTube can store cookies on your device or use similar recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting) after starting a video. In this way, YouTube may receive information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud.
The use of YouTube is in the interest of presenting our online offerings in an appealing way. This constitutes a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If consent is requested, processing is carried out exclusively based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, as far as consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) under the TTDSG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Further information about data protection at YouTube can be found in their Privacy Policy.
Themes Security
We have integrated iThemes Security on this website. The provider is iThemes Media LLC, 1720 South Kelly Avenue, Edmond, OK 73013, USA (“iThemes Security”).
iThemes Security protects our website from unauthorized access and malicious cyberattacks. To this end, iThemes Security collects, among other things, your IP address, the time and source of login attempts, and log data (e.g., browser used). iThemes Security is installed locally on our servers.
iThemes Security transmits IP addresses of recurring attackers to a central iThemes database in the USA (Network Brute Force Protection) to prevent such attacks in the future.
The use of iThemes Security is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effectively protecting their website from cyberattacks.
Social Plugins
Our websites use social plugins from the providers listed below. You can recognize these plugins by the corresponding logo.
Through these plugins, information, including personal data, may be sent to and potentially used by the respective service provider. To prevent unauthorized and unintentional data collection and transmission to the service provider, we implement a two-click solution. A social plugin must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding switch. Only after this activation will the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider be initiated.
We do not collect any personal data using social plugins or through their use.
We have no influence over what data an activated plugin collects or how it is used by the provider. Currently, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services is established, and at least the IP address and device-related information are collected and used. It is also possible that service providers attempt to store cookies on the computer being used. Please refer to the privacy policies of each service provider for details on what data is collected and how it is used.
Note: If you are simultaneously logged into Facebook or Instagram, Facebook may identify you as a visitor to a specific page.

Google AdWords
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you arrived on our website via a Google ad, Google AdWords sets a cookie on your computer. This cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on a Google ad. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification.
If the user visits specific pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customers’ websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can reject the necessary setting of a cookie, for example, via a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com.”
Please note that if you delete the opt-out cookies, you may need to set them again.
Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses Google Inc.’s remarketing feature. This feature is used to present interest-based advertisements to visitors within the Google advertising network.
A “cookie” is saved in the visitor’s browser, which allows the visitor to be recognized when they access websites that are part of Google’s advertising network.
According to Google, no personal data is collected during this process. If you still do not wish to use Google’s remarketing feature, you can deactivate it by adjusting the corresponding settings at Google Ads Settings.
